Miłosław to miasto w województwie wielkopolskim, 15 km na południowy zachód od Wrześni przy drodze krajowej nr 15. Liczy około 4000 mieszkańców. Pierwsza wzmianka o Miłosławiu pochodzi z roku 1314, kiedy to miejscowość była własnością Miłosławskich. Prawa miejskie były nadane przed 1397 rokiem, powtórnie w 1539. W okresie reformacji silny ośrodek protestantyzmu, aż do roku 1627. W czasie Wiosny Ludów miejsce zwycięskiej bitwy powstańców z wojskami pruskimi (30 kwietnia 1848). W pierwszej dekadzie XX wieku ośrodek strajków szkolnych. W centrum miasta znajduje się prostokątny rynek (Plac Wiosny Ludów). Urządzony jest jako skwer z dużą ilością zieleni, pośrodku którego znajduje się głaz–pomnik dzieci miłosławskich walczących o mowę polską w latach 1901–07. W pn.–zach. narożniku rynku jest historyczny budynek „Bazaru" (nr 24), o który w 1848 roku toczyły się ciężkie walki. It is arranged as a square with lots of greenery, in the middle of which there is a stone - a monument to the children of Miłosław fighting for the Polish language in the years 1901–07. In the north-west in the corner of the market square is the historic building of "Bazaar" (No. 24), for which heavy fighting took place in 1848. The Spring of Nations Square in Miłosław is planned to be revitalized so that it becomes the city's showpiece.
